Indian govt. is just going very much strict on Data Privacy laws these days and doesn’t want any citizen of India to become the victim of cyber attacks that might be done by China. As the conditions in India and China aren’t good these days and that is continuously affecting the Software Industry.
Recently, Indian Govt. bans 59 applications of Chinese origin. And, now the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, bans another 47 copies of the previously banned applications. The list till not made legal by the Govt. Officials but the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology said it will be soon made public.
Some of the apps that are banned, are the lite versions of the previously banned apps like:
- TikTok Lite
- Shareit Lite
- Bego Lite
- VFY Lite
- Helo Lite
A report also tells, that soon Indian Govt. will fetch the data of more than 250 applications that might doing playful act towards the user privacy.
So, it’s a good thing what Indian Govt. is doing but its also affecting the giant software companies like Tencent, ByteDance, etc. But, definitely for our country, we can aggregate to other alternatives of applications that are available for free on Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
