Brother HL-L8260CDN Printer Complete Overview:-

This colour laser is comparable to the Editors’ Choice Xerox Phaser 6500/DN ($385.07 at Amazon), with similar speed and better paper handling in our tests. Editors’ Choice goes to the Xerox printer because of its superior performance quality. However, the cost benefit isn’t nearly as significant as it is with the Brother HL-L8250CDN, making the HL-L8350CDW more appealing to businesses.

It’s Fast for Its Class

The Brother HL-L8360CDW prints monochrome and colour pages at 33 pages per minute (ppm), the same as the Brother HL-L8260CDW. In our samples, both devices behaved almost identically, with only minor variations. The HL-L8360CDW churned out a 12-page black, clearly formatted Microsoft Word text document at a rate of 33.2ppm, compared to 31.4ppm for the OKI C332dn. Unfortunately, the HP M452dw was checked before we implemented our new bench-marking methodology, which involves printing different documents from different hardware and software, making a direct comparison to it impossible.

Print Quality is Above Average

Since both the HL-L8360CDW and the HL-L6260CDW use basically the same print engine (the former has a few minor tweaks to accommodate a few different features and higher-yield toner cartridges (see the Running Costs section coming up next), print quality is essentially the same: above average text and graphics, and slightly below average images. Our common serif and sans-serif fonts were readable at 6 points and lower (depending on the typeface), and our decorative fonts performed better than average.

Brother HL-L8260CDN Customer Reviews:-

No Frills, Just Great Color Laser Printer

By a customer visitingBrother

I’ve owned literally dozens of printers over the decades; from cheap ink jets to thermal wax transfer units to elaborate, wide-carriage dye sublimation printers. I’ve owned feature-rich all-in-ones that held great novelty for ten minutes then went largely underutilized for the duration of their lifespan in my office. After years of experience with negotiating the gauntlet of REAL WORLD printers needs – great, usable features without high wear components or exorbitant supply and maintenance costs I’ve come to appreciate a ‘no frills’, solid product like this Brother color laser. Intuitive, low-maintenance, problem-free, strong and capable where it should be with stunning, top shelf output when you want it. It makes my all-time top purchase list.

It’s tricky with the Internet

By a customer visitingBrother

I do like the crisp printed pages. It doesn’t always connect to the Internet when I am sending a page, still trying to figure out what is up with that. Eventually does print, but weird how it doesn’t connect every time. I wish it came with a printed owner’s manual.

Basic small office printer

By a customer visitingBrother

This printer is fast, but only after it starts. It may take almost a full minute to start printing sometimes. But, the color is great, the speed is above average once started, and the ink seems to last much longer than our old Canon.
